6TH & 7TH MARCH EVENING DEMONSTRATIONS: Foundation to Specialisation; Producing the Young Competition Horse

Join Jason Webb and Ben Franklin for a fantastic evening of education and entertainment. They will demonstrate the importance of developing the correct foundations and mindset in young horses, before specialising in a particular discipline. 

UK based Australian horse trainer, Jason Webb will work with horses just starting their ridden careers, whilst dressage rider, trainer and coach, Ben Franklin will demonstrate how to progress into the first stages of their competitive career.  You will discover how the training moves from concentrating on the mind, to focusing on the horse’s body, in addition to picking up troubleshooting tips for common issues.

About Jason Webb and Ben Franklin

Jason and Ben have worked together over the past few years, with Jason starting Ben’s young dressage horses.  In 2022, they demonstrated together at the Horsemanship Showcase. The success of this has prompted this mini series of “Foundation to Specialisation” demonstrations.

Ben is a competitive British Dressage rider and trainer, who specialises in the production of young horses. Trained regularly by Carl Hester and Andreas Hausberger, he has enjoyed success regionally and nationally. He works with young horses all the way through to Grand Prix, as well as horses in other disciplines, and coaches throughout the UK and abroad.

Jason is renowned for starting young horses and solving behavioural and ridden issues, using techniques evolved from his Australian upbringing.  He has started over 2,000 horses in his career so far, and is used and recommended by Olympians and international riders in all disciplines, vets and equestrian professionals.  His online horse training resource, Your Horsemanship, has benefited thousands of riders globally.
