Jason and the Team offer the following services away from home, “On the Road”
Whether he is having fun with his trusty side-kick, Diesel, giving young horses their first rides under saddle or working with horses with behavioural or ridden problems, Jason is in demand for his ‘real life’ approach to horse training demonstrations. He has performed at national events such as ToastLife Festival (Clapham Common, London), Your Horse Live every year from 2011 - 2018, The BHS Welfare Conference, The Worshipful Company of Saddlers AGM, Kent Game & Equine Fair and South West Christmas Equine Fair. He also runs very well received evening demonstrations at top venues such as Hartpury College and Hadlow College and in 2017 was invited to judge at the Dublin Horse Show alongside Lucinda Green and Leslie Law. Jason is an excellent orator, and experienced interviewee, making him the perfect “industry expert” for events and media appearances.
Jason has also collaborated with a number of industry experts, including horse training demonstrations alongside leading Australian horseman Steve Brady and with top Performance Psychologist, Charlie Unwin. Jason and Charlie teamed up for their “Meeting of Minds” demonstrations that are designed to explore how a greater understanding of both human and horse behaviour leads to more successful partnership between horse and rider.
Australian Horsemanship’s popular monthly Coffee Mornings provide people with a the chance to view the facilities, meet the staff, browse our products for sale and watch Jason and Tom work with horses currently in for training.
If you would like to book Jason for a demonstration, please contact us to discuss your needs.

Associate Trainer: Tom Mitchell
Coming from a strong hunting background and growing up in the countryside of Suffolk, Tom made his way through the Pony Club and Eventing levels. It was during these years that Tom realised a passion for riding and training young horses, seeing them develop and go on to excel in their ridden careers.
Tom continued and began work at Australian horse training with Jason, where he gained years of experience and several coaching qualifications. It was during this time that Tom discovered what really made him tick; helping others to achieve by supporting them in training and developing themselves and their horses.

Corporate Leadership and Management Training
We offer management training, leadership workshops and team building to businesses. Working with horses is a powerful way of helping delegates think more intuitively about getting the best out of their teams, and how to be authentic leaders. Activities are designed to provoke thought about how they can become better leaders and managers of their work teams and how to incorporate team building into the daily work. Many delegates experience profound self assessment, and the work environment they create.
Jason has provided training for multinationals, such as Sainsbury’s and JLT Insurance. He often delivers these days alongside top Performance Psychologist, Charlie Unwin and Lane4 Management Consultancy.
Corporate training days are offered at Australian Horsemanship or at alternative venues with the necessary facilities and can cater for any number of delegates. Each day is devised according to the requirements and outcomes of the company and as such, the content varies each time. The areas they have in common are time spent learning how to be a calm, consistent and decisive leader through working directly with the horses and being able to learn by watching Jason’s training methods in action. Home produced lunches and refreshments are also on offer throughout the day.
"After understanding how important it was to give horses time to understand what is being asked of them and time to reflect on that learning, I realized my management style did not allow my team the time to complete their work to the best of their ability as I was always putting them under pressure" - Sainsbury’s delegate
